Massolino Barbera D'Alba

$45.00
Appearance: deep purplish, almost impenetrable red. Bouquet: elegant, sweet and tempting, the intense and fruity notes characteristic of Barbera emerge. Flavour: vinous, fresh and well balanced. An easy to drink wine which is tasty and rich without being excessively binding. It is best to serve it at temperatures between 18-20°C. Perfect with Langhe cuisine and very tasty dishes in general. Excellent with past, rice and soup, braised or grilled red meats and medium-mature cheeses. It is also perfect for aperitifs, with appetisers and sliced meats.

Mitolo Serpico Cabernet Sauvignon

$75.00
This isn’t just any Cabernet Sauvignon. With our Serpico, we do things a little bit differently; we follow the traditional Italian technique of drying the grapes to produce an Amarone style wine. When Frank Mitolo decided to introduce a Cabernet into his premium ‘Mitolo’ range, he was prepared to go against the grain, and produce a unique wine style in Australia. Much like the man the wine is named after, Frank Serpico who went against all odds to expose an immense depth of corruption in the New York police force.

Mitolo Jester Cabernet Sauvignon

$22.00
Bright and fresh with signature Cabernet Sauvignon characteristics of red capsicum, menthol, violet and mixed herbs. Full bodied and mouth filling with juicy red cherry, blackcurrant and cassis, intertwined with savoury dark chocolate and tobacco. The Amarone component adds to a textured finish with great length and savoury tannin

Mitolo Jester Shiraz

$22.00
A lot of love goes into our wines, and our Jester Shiraz is no exception. The vineyards for the Jester Shiraz are located at the southern end of McLaren Vale, close to the seaside town of Aldinga. The combination of cool sea breezes and gully winds provide ideal conditions for growing fruit of intensity and balance. The vines sit in heavy clay, which gives the wine powerful dark fruit flavours. Ideal conditions in 2014 produced an exceptional Shiraz that speaks of its origin. Full flavoured, with dark fruits and savoury black olive characters, and soft, silky tannins.

Yal Yal Road Pinot Noir

$32.00
A very aromatic, bright and complex wine in which raspberry, strawberry and red cherry flavours predominate. The long palate is rich and textured and the tannins tight and balanced. Alcohol: 13.5%

Rymill The Surveyor Cabernet Sauvignon

$75.00
The nose has complex layers of dark cherries, cassis, mocha and mint chocolate. As promised by its appearance, the wine is intense yet bright and generous in its complexity of flavours, with plums, star anise and fennel seed. The voluptuous middle palate, abundant in fruit and elegantly structured by the oak and tannins, offers to linger in a long, convincing after taste. Enjoy this wine on its own, or with food but careful cellaring for ten to twenty years will reward those with patience. Haliday says: ‘As compelling as it is commanding. It would be brutish if it wasn't so svelte. Blackcurrant, black olive, loganberry and fresh mint notes rush through to the two-thirds point of the palate, where tannin has marshalled in force. A star of a wine. A long life is in store.’ 97 pts - JHalliday

Henschke Marble Angel Cabernet Sauvignon

$110.00
Deep crimson with violet hues. Lifted aromas of cassis, ripe black and blue berries, anise and plum skin with underlying hints of crushed herbs, cigar box and cedar. Rich, generous layers of black and blue fruits meld with beautifully balanced acidity and fine-grained chalky tannins for a long, complex finish. This is a striking cabernet reflecting the great vintage and what must be a very special vineyard, for its varietal expression is bell clear, and juicily seductive. James Halliday, Halliday 2017 Wine Companion

Hentley Farm Clos Otto Shiraz

$190.00
Blueberry and blackberry lead this rich and alluring nose with jasmine flower, violets, truffle and star anise playing the supporting act. The palate shows all of that rich and vibrant primary black fruit you expect from the western Barossa combined with complexing elements of liquorice, olive and vanillin. The tannin structure is even and complete throughout, providing layers of support to the flavour profile and outstanding length. This wine combines freshness and vibrancy with richness and intensity, a balance of all things. 2014 vintage - 95 James Halliday

Hentley Farm The Beauty Shiraz

$65.00
Primary reds fruits, white florals and tropical stone fruits leap out of the glass. Red and blue fruits also lead the palate with a strong spice element providing the complexity, a unique blend of blueberry and green peppercorn evidence of the cooler creek level breezes. Soft subtle tannin provide focus through the middle before opening up to broad savoury finish. Elegant and complex.

Hentley Farm The Beast Shiraz

$95.00
Like all great vineyard sites, this block’s expression of rich fruit and ripe, supple tannins result from the interaction between two key variables: soil and microclimate. Red clay loam topsoil overlying massive clay with bluestone at depth allow the creation of naturally low yields with intensive flavours. The block’s position is elevated and enjoys long, even sunlight exposure, further intensifying the aromatic and flavour profile. 2014 vintage - 97 James Halliday
