Urban Winery Project Shiraz Malbec

Tasting notes: Ripe blueberries and plums and all spice on the nose. Round, juicy, sweet dark fruit on the palate, with some meatiness too. Soft vanillin oak, subtle tannins and a heart-warming finish that leaves you wanting more. Balanced, playful and delicious.

Lost Buoy Lion Point Shiraz

Pio Cesare Il Nebbio

Red currant flavors and sweet fruit. The tannins are soft and round, enhancing the fresh and mellow character. Crisp and young, with medium structure. It may age well, enhancing the great nebbiolo character.

Viberti La Gemella Barbera D'Alba

Meaning “twin,” La Gemella was created to honor the winemaker’s mother, Maria, who is a twin herself and a lover of Barbera. Expressive floral tones of wild rose, fresh berries and crushed mineral. Full-bodied layers of blueberry, licorice, and earth are perfectly balanced. A vibrancy of acid, silky tannins, and lengthy finish contribute to the outstanding quality. Aged for 1 year in tini and bottle. Will offer ideal drinking over the next 2-3 years.

Majella Cabernet Sauvignon

What more can we say about the Majella Cabernet? Universally regarded as one of Coonawarra's greatest wines, it continues to win trophies and medals throughout Australia and the world. Dark red in colour, with a very complex nose with hints of blackberries and ripe cherries. This complexity carries over to the palate, rich, juicy and ribena-like, with plums and fruitcake characters showing through. As ever the finish is long and lingering with wonderful 'soft grain' tannins. Drink now or wait 10 - 15 years. In the usual Majella manner the ferment was finished off in 300 litre French oak barrels. After MLF the wine was aged for a further 18 months in oak before bottling.

Majella Shiraz

The Majella Shiraz first appeared in 1991 and has since acquired a reputation as one of Coonawarra's finest Shiraz's. A deep ruby red colour with a bright damson hue. fragrant ripe dark red fruits with vanillin aromas. A supple palate with luscious dark berries and dark chocolate with touches of clove, cinnamon and black pepper. Fine textured tannins lead to a long and evenly balanced finish. As is usual here at Majella the fermentation was completed in 300 litre barrels and the wine was then aged for a further 18 months in a blend of French and American oak. We present it as a great example of Coonawarra Shiraz at its very best. Ageing potential: 5 - 10 years.

Ministry Of Clouds Shiraz

Includes 20% whole bunch with maturation taking place in old French oak barriques for 11 months. Totally opaque inky black core with a dark crimson black hue. Nosing delivers a perfumed sniff of liquorice and blackberries infused with violets followed by dark plum, vanillin cedar and some spearmint. Medium to full bodied with abundant richness yet a refined sleekly textured mouthfeel the palate possesses flavours of liquorice, dark chocolate and blackberries intermixed with some earthy dried meat characters and vanillin oak. Slightly dryish on the finish with very fine grained verging on velvet like tannins. Aftertaste of dark chocolate, blackberries, subtle liquorice, earth and vanillin cedar. Cellar 5-6 years. Alc 14.1%

Yal Yal Road Pinot Noir

A very aromatic, bright and complex wine in which raspberry, strawberry and red cherry flavours predominate. The long palate is rich and textured and the tannins tight and balanced. Alcohol: 13.5%

Jones Road Pinot Noir

Tasting Notes Plenty of fine pinot character and complexity with spicy forest berry, red cherry, cocoa powder and a handsome layer of fine-grained savoury French oak woven throughout. The palate is supple, lithe and even with layered tannins holding crunchy red cherry flavour in elegant, gently curved shape. Terrific balance and resolve – cherry stone finish. Viticulture: This area of Pinot was selected for our premium label as it had provided outstanding flavours in the past. The vines were cane pruned and restricted to 20 buds. Trained to a VSP open canopy, to provide sunlight & air movement through the canopy. Minimal watering was used and bunch numbers restricted. The grapes were picked relatively early on 3rd March as soon as the berries developed the required flavour profile.

Montalto Pennon Hill Pinot Noir

A youthful ruby colour in the glass; on the nose it shows concentrated red cherry, raspberry and cranberry fruits with subtle earthy spice. The palate is lively and fruit-forward with the flavours mirroring the aromas. The wine has fine-grained tannins with a gentle grip and a soft, warm finish. Gold Medal–2016 Boutique Wine Awards Gold Medal–2016 Winewise Small Vignerons’ Awards “All about the cherries, kirsch; expressly aromatic as is often the Pennon Hill way – alluring, yet with a depth and semblance of spice. A distinct lightness, ethereal – if you like – yet immediately at odds to this comes an intense spice, and a freshening acidity. A wine of opposites, with tannin both firm and fine.
