Voyager Estate Chardonnay

Flavours of lemon pith and grapefruit with hints of pears and white stonefruit. Early hand-harvesting, wild yeast fermentation, grape solids, and regular battonage, have contributed texture, complexity and balance to the wine. All this makes for a wine with great flavour and texture which is restrained, complex and elegant.

Sorrenberg Chardonnay

Our Chardonnay is 100% barrel fermented in french oak with 25-30% of this being new oak. To add complexity to the wine all of it goes through natural yeast fermentation, as well all of it goes through complete malo-lactic fermentation. This wine received extended lees contact for ten months with weekly stirring. Then a further eight months barrel maturation. The longer time in barrel restricts this wines openness for a few months so be patient. Minimal handling and filtration ensures maximum flavour is retained. The bouquet of the 2015 Chardonnay is presenting with delicate aromas of lemon zest combined with unobtrusive peach and pineapple aromas. These enticing aromas leads you on to a palate that is complex showing grapefruit and lemon, mineral stone, balanced with the appealing oak and pleasant acidity creating a long lingering palate with a touch of mealyness on the finish. This wine will cellar for 10 years plus.

Moss Wood Chardonnay

Rich, ripe berry fruit and Wilyabrup characteristics of mulberries, cassis, chocolate and coffee bean – good use of oak – all the characters of fine claret, especially the skilful blending of top quality fruit and oak to produce complex, balanced wines with excellent depth of flavour and considerable length. Moss Wood Cabernet includes up to a combined total 4% of Cabernet Franc for its cherry like fruit aromas and 4% of Petit Verdot for its berry aromas and firmer structure.

Bannockburn Chardonnay

The Bannockburn Chardonnay is at this stage pert and linear, with floral and citrus notes.
