Buller Wines Fine Old Topaque
Deep golden brown colour with olive green hue. The top note is of very ripened dried raisins, followed by toffee, spice and caramel. The palate is luscious, with flavours of honey, raisins followed by a back palate of spice, caramel and honey. Fine brandy spirit, without any heat. Clean finish. Very long aftertaste of honey, toffee, caramel and spice.
Description
Established in Rutherglen in 1921 by Reginald Langdon Buller, the century old ‘Calliope Vineyard’ was named after the only surviving ship from the Great Hurricane of Samoa – Reginald’s vision of his new enterprise successfully sailing through the tempests of business and agricultural life proved prophetic. After almost 100 years Buller Wines is testament to the foresight of Reginald and is a leading winery within North East Victoria. The Buller’s name has long been associated with some of Rutherglen’s finest fortifieds, a treat many can still enjoy today thanks to our vast inherited collection of premium barrel-aged fortifieds.
