Aged in oak for 12 months, and a further 2 months in bottle for refinement, this Nebbiolo Langhe D.O.C from Cascina Ghercina is a deceiving and delicious wine; the light ruby colour hides a wine that is both rich in texture and flavour. With a spicy nose (cinnamon, caramel and vanilla) upon opening, the aroma lingers of forest fruits and buttery notes. On the palate you’ll find persistence of wild strawberries. We enjoy this wine for its elegance and balanced tannins. Works super well with meat stews, mature cheese and rich vegetarian dishes.
