Even Keel Pinot Noir
The Even Keel Pinot Noir is the entry level Pinot Noir release from talented Mornington Peninsula vigneron, Sam Coverdale.
The 2021 is so expressive, a bright nose of red sorbet fruits – strawberries and red cherries, and a background of gamey notes. On the palate it’s concentrated with flavours of savoury, red fruits, pure and bright, with pretty, dried herbs, dusty tannins, and great length
A sumptuous and seductive look at Pinot from the Peninsula.
Solid value from this premium wine region.

Description
Polperro owner Sam Coverdale is a pretty down to earth kinda guy, a lovely person, a keen surfer, and a damn good winemaker. He started off as a cellar hand at Tyrells at just 18 years of age, then completed a Business and Winemaking degree before setting off to further fine tune his skills in Spain, Italy and France. On his return he established Polperro in the Mornington Peninsula in 2006. Today the wines are some of the finest [and best value] in a region notorious for inflated prices and hyperbole. They are made with minimal handling, wild yeast ferments, no fining and filtration and predominately old oak inputs. All the stuff we love!
