Gaja Sito Moresco Langhe Nebbiolo
Gaja Sito Moresco 2018 is elegant and superbly made. A blend of Nebbiolo, Cabernet and Merlot grapes from the Langhe, Piedmont wine region and produced by Angelo Gaja, one of the rock stars of the wine world and an iconic figure for Italian winemaking. He’s credited with making Barbaresco world famous as a robust red wine from northern Italy. Full-bodied, smooth and juicy with ripe red currant, black currant, fine herb and spicy, smoky flavours harmonious on the palate. Each variety was vinified separately prior to blending and then matured in oak barrels for 1 year. A good cellaring candidate, drink or hold.
Food pairings: mature cheese, rare cuts of meat, risotto with mushrooms.

Founded in 1859, the Gaja winery has been operated by the Gaja family for five generations, and is now managed by Angelo Gaja and his daughters.
The Gaja family has 250 acres of estate owned vineyards in Piedmont. These are situated in Barbaresco and Treiso in the Barbaresco district, and the Serralunga d’Alba and La Morra districts of Barolo.
The winery produces a range of fine Italian wines in Piedmont (Langhe) and Tuscany, including Barbaresco, Barolo, and Brunello di Montalcino wines. The estate also produces grappa (brandy made from Nebbiolo grape pomace.)
