Nebbiolo has found a spiritual home in the Adelaide Hills and it’s thanks to people like Longview who have pioneered the style. Channeling their Italian heritage, the Saturno family have created a wine that is reminiscent of Piedmont. This brooding number showed roses, prune, dark chocolate, sweet dark fruit signature, and dark cherries before a textured palate of tongue hugging tannin and sprightly acids. Unlike most serious Italian Nebbiolo, this is approachable now.
