Veuve La Grande Dame Champagne
Veuve Clicquot La Grande Dame 2012 by Yayoi Kusama is a showcase of the House’s excellence. It perfectly expresses its love for Pinot Noir, which since the 2008 vintage, has represented over 90% of the blend. Pinot Noir dominates the blend, magnified by 10% Chardonnay, with grapes from the villages of Aÿ, Verzenay, Verzy, Ambonnay, Bouzy. The 10% Chardonnay comes from the Grands Crus Avize and Mesnil-sur-Oger.
The iconic Japanese artist, Yayoi Kusama, sends a cheerful message to the whole world by imagining a joyful and colourful creation specifically made for Veuve Clicquot.
Description
True to this heritage, the House is proud of its motto: “Only one quality, the finest”. In its history there have been only 10 Cellar Masters at Veuve Clicquot. This has resulted in a never-ending quest for quality and ensured the continuity of the Veuve Clicquot style: strength and complexity. Veuve Clicquot prides itself on excellence and quality. Created in 1972 to celebrate the bicentenary of the House, La Grande Dame is a tribute to Madame Clicquot also known as ‘La Grande Dame de la Champagne’. An exclusive blend of eight of our historical Grands Crus, it is a mineral and fresh expression of the Veuve Clicquot style.
