The first bottles of “wine with bubbles” produced were intended as gifts for Nicolas Ruinart’s clients who purchased cloth and fabric.\r\n\r\nHowever, Nicolas was a sophisticated businessman and he had adopted his uncle’s pioneering vision and ambition for “wine with bubbles,” and just six years after the initial bottles were produced he found success.\r\n\r\nIn 1735, Maison Ruinart abandoned the cloth trade to concentrate on the burgeoning champagne trade. This became Nicolas's sole occupation and growth was exponential with 170 bottles sold in 1730, 3,000 bottles in 1731, 36,000 in 1761, and onwards","brand":"The Melbourne Wine Store","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":46331043872987,"sku":"ruinart_blanc_de_blancs_champagne","price":160.0,"currency_code":"AUD","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0731\/5197\/1547\/files\/ruinart-blanc-de-blancs-case.jpg?v=1733490886","url":"https:\/\/themelbwinestore.com.au\/products\/ruinart-blanc-de-blancs-champagne","provider":"The Melbourne Wine Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
