This aromatic wine has great balance and generous flavour typical of this variety grown in the Clare Valley. Fermentation in new French oak has added complexity to the grassy and stone fruit characters of the Semillon. It has diverse food compatibility—in particular with seafood and pasta and may be cellared for a decade with confidence. This wine has been sealed under screw cap to retain its freshness and authenticity.

Adams has been making this excellent oak-fermented semillon from Clare for some years now and it continues to be one of my favourite examples of this style. Has a delightful lemony zest with light, grassy nuances. So much controlled flavour that extends to a very long finish. Worth holding in the cellar. It’s great value, too.
