3 Amazing wines, 3 Amazing Australian producers

The 2019 Cassella 1919 Cabernet Sauvignon, Lime Coast SA,  has subtle red brick hues and aromas of red stone fruit, cassis and freshly cracked black pepper. Firm, full tannins balance the wine and add a velvety texture and mouth-feel. Gold Award – Sydney International Wine Competition

The 2021 Milton Reserve Pinot Noir, Swansea Tasmania, Is only made in exceptional years, our is a boisterous wine with floral notes of violets overlaying the complex evolving earthiness.  Made from a select blend of clones – D4V2 and MV6, and from the premium block overlooking the cellar door planted in 1992

The 2015 Geoff Merrill Reserve Shiraz, McLaren Vale SA,  displays a deep red colour. The wine is packed with red berry, chocolate, leather and earthy characters. The palate is luxurious and generous before revealing the great structure underneath. Having undergone extended maturation first in barrel and then in bottle, the drink has become elegant and sophisticated. 94 points – Huon Hooke
