The Melbourne Wine Store is is an independently owned classic and boutique wine wine shop located at Shop 3, 401 St Kilda Road, Melbourne VIC 3004. We specialise in supplying our customers with a variety of wines and liquors supported by personalised service. Bringing wines and spirits from the worlds best vineyards and distilleries to your doorstep.

Our story

We were founded in 2012 by a small group of passionate ex-wine industry professionals who shared one simple belief: that great wine should not be hard to find, and great advice should not cost extra. What started as a shared love of drinking, selling, and talking about wine became one of Melbourne's most trusted independent bottle shops — a destination for wine lovers across St Kilda Road, South Yarra, Toorak, Albert Park, and the Melbourne CBD.

What makes us different

Unlike large chain bottle shops and supermarket liquor stores, every bottle on our shelves has been personally tasted and selected by our team. If we would not drink it ourselves, it does not make the shelf. We specialise in boutique, hand-selected wines from small producers across Australia and the world — labels you simply cannot find at large chain bottle shops or supermarket liquor stores

Our knowledgeable staff will help you find exactly what you need — whether it is an everyday table wine, a special occasion Champagne, a hard-to-find Italian varietal, or a curated gift pack. You are welcome to enjoy a glass of wine while you browse in-store.

We hold wine tasting nights regularly throughout the year, and our popular happy hour runs Monday to Friday from 4pm to 6pm with great daily specials.
