Palate – Made from 100% free run juice, the palate of the 2016 Joshua Tree is fine and full of bright citrus flavours hints of minerality. Those zesty, floral notes from the nose fill out in the mouth in a real explosion of primary fruit and the natural acidity is restrained providing tongue tingling freshness. The wine finishes with bright, finely boned acidity with lingering lemon and lime fruit.

xGeneral - The 2016 vintage delivered us with perfect Riesling ripening conditions. A dry spring and summer was followed with a small hit of rain 2 weeks prior to picking. This allowed the fruit to further develop intense flavours in balance with the acid and sugar. This provided a range of premium parcels which enabled us to make a true to style regional Riesling with no additions of acid and no additions of any fining.
Serve - The generous, appealing fruit characters in this wine, coupled with balanced acidity make for a very accessible drinking Riesling. In other words – a cracker stand-alone Rizza that will shine with or without food. My pick for this one is grilled prawn noodle salad with a lightly spiced Vietnamese inspired dressing.
