Description

Helen’s Hill “Long Walk” Pinot Noir is one of our hallmark wines. All the fruit is fermented in open top fermenters before being transferred to French oak for maturation. The key to our Pinot Noir is the diversity of clones that we have on our property. Different clones to Pinot Noir wine are like patches on a patch work quilt: individually, they look good, but put them all together and they are sensational.

Dark cherries, musk, spice and vanilla wood – fetching sort of earthy minerality here too. Medium weight, plums and cherries, good acid cut and attack with fine but firm powdery tannin framing up the wine beautifully. Muscular and intense, but not without charm. Long finish. Carries it off with style.
