xColour: Deeply coloured garnet with a magenta hue. Bouquet: Rich and profound aromas of dark ripe red/purple fruits lifted by peppery spices, roasted herbs, florals and delicately toasted French oak. Palate: Intense velvety dark fruit pulled together by fine integrated tannins. The balance of perfumed fruit, tight grained oak and minerality lingers in the mouth. A classic Bin 0 that will benefit from some more time in bottle. Cellaring: Will reward both short term to long term cellaring (20 years+) or it can be enjoyed sooner with a good aged Cheddar or Comté. Vintage: The season commenced with good winter rainfall that sustained the dry grown vines through the mild summer. Although yields were lower than average, the cool nights and warm days during the ripening season enabled the grapes to be hand-picked at optimum ripeness.
