Domaine Fazi Rosé 2024 — Île de Beauté IGP, Corsica, France
Corsica — L'Île de Beauté, the Island of Beauty — produces some of the most characterful wines in all of France, and Domaine Fazi is a shining example of why. Estate grown and vinified on the island (récolté et vinifié à la propriété), this 2024 rosé is a compelling blend of four varieties: Niellucciu (42%), Syrah (33%), Grenache (20%), and the rare indigenous Sciaccarellu (5%).
The result is a rosé with real personality. Pale salmon-pink in the glass, it opens with lifted aromas of fresh red berries, orange blossom, and a faint herbal garrigue note that speaks directly of the Corsican maquis. On the palate it's dry and lively, with a fine mineral thread running through bright strawberry and citrus flavours, finishing clean and refreshing.
At just 11.5% alcohol, it's a wine that drinks beautifully by the glass on a warm afternoon or alongside a spread of charcuterie, grilled fish, seafood, or Mediterranean-style vegetables. A genuinely exciting discovery for rosé lovers looking beyond Provence.
